Over the next few months Lancaster House Bar Manager, Tom Chalmers, is going to introduce us to the delights of Sandeman ports and sherries featured on our menus and, of course, in our Sandeman’s Bar. He starts by telling us how our connection to the famous brand began.
Our friends at Safe Harbour Productions, frequent Low Wood Bay regularly to be the eyes and ears for couples special days at the resort hotel on the shores of Lake Windermere. They have kindly put together this video for use to show off the hotel and its location.

Our Next Burns Night Celebrations for 2013 are to be held on Wednesday 23rd January 2013
We begin the evening with a drinks reception followed by a 4 course dinner being served whilst the evening unfolds, including specialty steak and a wee dram of Macallan Whisky. Price: £35.00 per person. Time: 7.00pm.
We host Burns Night at The Wild boar to celebrate the life and poetry of the poet Robert Burns, author of many Scots poems. We cannot claim to have many Scottish links at the Inn, other than George on reception! Our very popular Whisky club often features many Scottish tipples and the Chef often looks to traditional Scottish cuisine for inspiration on the menu; plus it is an excuse to celebrate all these things we love!
Every year at Low Wood Bay we welcome guests for our very special Christmas breaks and 2012 was no exception. This year we spoke to Alar Allik; our restaurant supervisor, originally from Estonia spending Christmas with the guests at the hotel and Mr Stocking; a guests who has joined us for Christmas regularly.
Low Wood Bay Resort Hotel and Marina is the ultimate festive party venue catering for all the family. The hotel boasts the most beautiful views across Lake Windermere and is in the ideal base to discover and experience the Lakeland landscape.
We had an enjoyable time hosting Christmas for our guests and making friends new and old, we have already started planning for Christmas 2013.
